Boho Seaside Wedding In Maui: Nicole + Dustin

Nicole and Dustin
It was a perfect love-filled day full of sunshine, laughter and relaxed boho vibes for our bride and groom, Nicole and Dustin. Sugar Beach Event’s wedding planner, Kristen, worked closely with this Seattle couple to help bring their destination wedding dreams to life.

A big mahalo to Maui wedding photographer Monique Feil for capturing all the beauty of this day. The dreamy tropical backdrop of Maui was the perfect setting for this classy Boho beach wedding of gray and white, where the bride wore flowers in her hair and everyone went barefoot.

Favorite Wedding Memory:
One of my most cherished memories from our wedding day was my father seeing me in my wedding dress the first time. The look on his face is one that I will never forget! — Bride Nicole.

Special Wedding Details:
Almost everything in the wedding decor was handmade. Bride Nicole made the dream catchers that we hung as a backdrop to the dance floor and cake table. The centerpieces were all glass terrariums made by different friends of the couple. Even the mirrored place cards and cake top were handmade.

Tell Us About The Food:
We had three separate passed appetizers at cocktail hour. Our first was a goat cheese tartlet with carmelized onions, which was my personal favorite, a tomato bruschetta, and tarragon seasoned fries which were a big hit! For dinner, we had a Kula greens spinach salad with strawberries and feta cheese topped with a poppyseed dressing. The entree was a choice of Tuscan marinated sirloin steak or fresh catch of the day. Both were absolutely amazing. For our cake, we had a vanilla cake with a banana cream filling which was also amazing.

While wedding guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers and games on the lawn, our love birds headed down to the beach for a nice romantic stroll and photo session during sunset.

Bride’s Advice To Other Couples:
My advice for planning to other couples would be to be patient, do your homework, and remember that you are doing this for the love that you have for each other. — Bride Nicole.
