Brie en Croute


How would you like a recipe that is quick, easy and impressive? Here’s a basic recipe for Brie en croute. You can always change up the cheese or add a little jam inside to make it your own. And, who doesn’t like baked cheese? Enjoy.

Brie en Croute

Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: French
Servings: 8 pieces
  • 8 slices brie 1 1/2" square, 1/2" thick
  • 16 3" x 3" squares of puffed pastry
  • truffle honey, or plain honey
  • egg wash
  • fresh fruit
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cut brie into squares and place on one piece of puffed pastry. Brush outer edges of pastry with egg wash. Place a second piece of pastry on top of brie and press tightly to seal. Use a fork to seal the edges. Brush the top with additional egg wash and place on parchment or foil lined pan.

  3. Bake in oven for 10-14 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven, drizzle with honey and serve with fresh fruit.
