How would you like a recipe that is quick, easy and impressive? Here’s a basic recipe for Brie en croute. You can always change up the cheese or add a little jam inside to make it your own. And, who doesn’t like baked cheese? Enjoy.
- 8 slices brie 1 1/2" square, 1/2" thick
- 16 3" x 3" squares of puffed pastry
- truffle honey, or plain honey
- egg wash
- fresh fruit
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut brie into squares and place on one piece of puffed pastry. Brush outer edges of pastry with egg wash. Place a second piece of pastry on top of brie and press tightly to seal. Use a fork to seal the edges. Brush the top with additional egg wash and place on parchment or foil lined pan.
Bake in oven for 10-14 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven, drizzle with honey and serve with fresh fruit.
