Dreamy White Vintage Wedding

On This Day We Two Shall Wed…
On September 6th, 2014 we celebrated the marriage of Stephanie and Matt

Vintage-inspired all white wedding at Sugar Beach Events

After being together for 11 years, Stephanie and Matt decided it was a natural next step to get married and set about planning a vintage-inspired wedding in Maui with a focus on guest experience, delicious food, and entertainment. The goal was to throw an event that guests would talk about for years to come – a wedding that would reflect everything the couple loves and pay subtle tribute to the essence of Hawaii. With an all-white dress code that looked amazing on the beach, romantic lace and sea urchin details, a menu that included Hawaii favorites like fresh poke and shave ice, and surprise fire dancers, Stephanie and Matt’s wedding was definitely one to remember!

Bride Stephanie explains more about their wedding:
“We chose Maui because it’s our favorite place in the world. It’s funny I just happened to step upon Sugar Beach. I was looking for wedding planners and saw an artist rendering of Sugar Beach so we actually drove around the area to try to find it. We met Chef Lee. We visited all the popular venues and realized Sugar Beach was the one once we finally found it! We were actually the 2nd wedding booked there. We are so happy we chose Sugar Beach.”

Trio of salt wedding favors were given to honor the couple's love of cooking

This wedding was full of beautifully personal details. The father of the bride made all of their lace chair caps and lace table runners, and a sea urchin was placed at every place setting because the bride’s favorite food is uni (sea urchin).

To honor the couple’s love of cooking at home, favors were a trio of salt including Black Hawaiian Lava Salt, Himalayan Pink Sea Salt, and Cyprus Sea salt flakes. Stephanie called the favors “a labor of love– we hand filled all the salt and ombre dyed all the bags that they went in.”
