On This Day We Two Shall Wed…
On April 8th, 2015 we celebrated the marriage of Danielle and George
Danielle and George grew up only 15 minutes away from each other, but did not meet until they were connected through an online dating site in December 2013. When it became clear that they were meant to be, George proposed during a romantic birthday weekend for Danielle and her answer was an excited, “YES!” Eager to truly get away and celebrate this new beginning with their loved ones, the couple wanted a destination wedding.
“Into the Sunset” was the theme of the special day. Shades of pink, arranged in an ombre pattern from dark to light pink, were used throughout the event to reflect the colors of a sunset.
The ceremony arch was draped in white organza with floral arrangements that cascaded down the sides in the upper corners with a beautiful chandelier in the middle. Leis draped down the back to create a gorgeous frame where Danielle and George said their vows.
“Sugar Beach Events has a loft where the groomsmen stay before the wedding and it is from that vantage point that my fiancé saw me for the first time in my wedding dress. As he looked over the balcony, I walked onto the dance floor and did a little twirl for him.”

Suspended in a draped canopy beneath a chandelier, the pink ombre cake made by Chef Courtney from Sugar Beach Events was a gorgeous focal point of the reception.
Instead of a guest book, guests were asked to select a Maui postcard and mail Danielle and George their favorite memory of their special day. The couple loved received everyone’s memories once they returned home.
Danielle and George wanted an intimate wedding attended by their closest family and friends and knew Maui was just right. “Maui is my happy place. Maui has always been my favorite destination and I knew that it would be the most magical place to say I do. Sugar Beach Events, with its awe-inspiring oceanfront backdrop and stunning venue, provided the perfect setting. I wanted a laid back island style wedding with the genuine feeling of Aloha with our wonderful officiant, Kani, blowing the conch shell with traditional Hawaiian blessings including the lei exchange,” shared bride Danielle.
Danielle and George, we loved being able to make your dream wedding come true! We hope life is full of colorful sunsets for you to watch together.
