Road Trip Cooking Class

From coast to coast, the diverse geography of America results in an abundance of meat and seafood varieties that that are deliciously prepared. In this class, you will prepare dishes that celebrate this bounty and highlight famed regional preparations. Come experience an evening in the kitchen with Chef Lee of Sugar Beach Events Hawaii. Roll up your sleeves and expand your mind and recipe book alongside the chef, working in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and learning some tricks of the trade from one of Maui’s best teaching chefs.

In three and a half hours you will create hearty “road trip” – inspired dishes that include South Carolina Shrimp and Grits, Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Maine Lobster Rolls, Five Alarm Texas Chili, Southern-Style Smothered Pork Chops, Twice-Baked Idaho Potatoes, Broccoli-Cauliflower Gratin, and Florida Key Lime Pie. When the work is done, enjoy the dishes and wash it all down with a collection of our own Hawaiian beers from Maui Brewing Company. Sugar Beach Events will provide all the kitchen equipment and supplies.

This is the second year of the Cooking With Chef Lee cooking series. This popular cooking series will offer a variety of special cooking classes, video tutorials, recipes, and opportunities to learn professional tips to implement into your day-to-day experiences in the kitchen.

Come experience regional dishes from across America in the kitchen with Chef Lee of Sugar Beach Events Hawaii. You have two opportunities to take this class, either Wednesday, June 29th or Thursday, June 30th.

Please note: you will be working in a commercial kitchen with knives, safety is our primary concern. Please also wear close-toed shoes.
