Events

Originally the residence of a sugar mill manager, this meticulously preserved Hawaiian plantation-style home, built in 1922 and restored in 2000, exudes a timeless elegance. The property spans 2.5 acres of lush, manicured lawns, adorned with towering palm trees, offering expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring islands. It provides a private and exclusive atmosphere, ensuring your event is intimate and personal. The venue’s location on the leeward side of the island contributes to consistently sunny skies and gentle ocean breezes, creating an ideal environment for outdoor celebrations.

The Olowalu Plantation House primarily offers outdoor event spaces, leveraging its natural beauty.

• Oceanfront Lawn: A sprawling, perfectly manicured lawn directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean, serving as the main area for ceremonies and receptions. It provides ample space for guest seating, dinner setups, and dance floors.

• Spacious Lanai: The large veranda of the historic plantation house offers a covered area overlooking the lawn and ocean, often used for smaller gatherings, cocktail hours, or as an extension of the reception space.

• Cobblestone Patio: An elegant paved area adjacent to the house and lawn, often utilized for dinner tables or as a dance floor.

• Bridal & Groom Suites: The historic house itself contains four rooms and two bathrooms, providing comfortable, furnished spaces for the wedding party to prepare, including three rooms with air conditioning. There's also a full kitchen.

• The Jetty: A short walk from the property, the historic jetty offers a unique and iconic spot for golden hour photos with breathtaking ocean and mountain views.

• Mature Trees: Large, majestic trees on the property provide natural shade and picturesque backdrops, often used for stringing lights or floral arrangements.

The maximum outdoor capacity for events is typically 200 people.
